The maps are all fairly close-quarters, so you’ll have to be quick with your reactions and quickly learn the lines of sight for each map.

I have also been playing a fair bit of Battlefield 1 and the idea of a faster-paced version seemed awesome. So when WW2 was announced, I jumped at the idea of good, old-fashioned shooter – no rocketing around the map, no moronic dabbing emotes. These games seemed far too boring and the whole rocketing about on stupid exo-suits looked ridiculous and just a way of trying to spice up a stale franchise. Nothing appealed to me, nothing made me want to re-live those days of almost jumping out of my seat when I died and trying desperately to ram the analog stick forward more in the hopes it would make my character run faster. Skip forward to the releases of sequels like Ghosts and Advanced/ Infinite Warfare and I completely lost touch with the series. They had a certain sense of spirited fun about them, not taking themselves too seriously or trying to reach too high. Me and my group of friends would play for hours-on-end, particularly on Modern Warfare 2 & Black Ops. It was endless fun, even though none of us were particularly good. I was a big fan of Call of Duty when I was at school.
